Aims:

The project aims at implementing English taugth TwinTraining teaching modules in the fields of medicine, energy resources, mineral resource and drinking water. The TwinTraining concept focuses on hands-on qualification of students for the potential future profession during their studies. Based on joint twin training of faculty from cooperating universities in Morocco and Tunisia, faculty from Germany as well as industry partners we integrate applied, professional decision-making and responsibility to university teaching in fields identified by our partners. The project may act as a lighthouse for other disciplines and universities in the region. Integral part of the prototype modules is the involvement of industry in teaching with local faculty to ensure knowledge transfer to the academic field. During the project the number of professional partners will be increased to ensure sustainability of the TwinTraining concept. The direct involvement of industry also increases practical relevance and visibility for other companies not yet involved, and increases awareness of such TwinTraining modules to contribute to the job market.

August to September 2019

One student will carry out an applied industry project with our partner Schlumberger GmbH in Aachen, another student will do applied petrography within another project at KIT. The study projects are supervised by our partner Prof. Soussi, Tunis, and ETAP within the TwinTraining project.
