On February 20, 2018, the think tank "Industrial Resource Strategies" established by the Council of Ministers was officially opened at KIT by Minister Franz Untersteller. "Resource extraction, resource use, resource efficiency, and resource recovery are the responsibility of politics and industry. With the think tank, we want to stimulate the dialog between industry and politics, because only with the know-how and practical orientation of the companies in the country will we be able to realize a sustainable resource strategy policy," said Untersteller.
In the process, the environmental services sector will be analysed and new models developed, from the exploration and production of raw materials to production for recycling.
The "Industrial Resource Strategies" think tank is scheduled to run for four years and is funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg and industry. The following companies and associations are currently involved: AUDI AG, Badische Stahlwerke GmbH, Carl Zeiss AG, Daimler AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, Scholz Recycling GmbH, SchwörerHaus KG, Umicore AG & Co. KG, Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V. Baden-Württemberg regional association, Zeller+Gmelin GmbH & Co. KG.
Other companies have already expressed their interest in participating. If we have aroused your interest and you would like to receive more detailed information, please contact us.
